Gareth Frank Bale Also Known Gareth Bale born July 16, 1989 is a professional football player who came from Wales, United Kingdom who plays for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and the Wales national team. Bale can play as a winger or left back.

Bale began his career at Southampton academy in 2005 and was promoted to the Southampton first team squad in the 2006-07 season. In May 2007 he joined Tottenham by signing a four-year contract.

Bale Wales caps since May 2006. Until October 2011, he has recorded 39 appearances and 10 goals for the Wales national team.

Early and Personal life
Bale was born in Cardiff. His father Frank was a principal, and his mother Debbie is the operational manager. Attended Eglwys Newydd Primary School at Whitchurch town. He is the nephew of former Cardiff City footballer Chris Pike. while at this school he first came to the attention of Southampton at the age of nine, when he was playing in the tournament six-a-side with his first club, Cardiff Civil Service Football Club. His football talent grow alongside fellow Welshman and football player Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.

Bale then entered Whitchurch High School in Cardiff. He was a keen athlete and played football with Wales captain Sam Warburton, rugby, hockey and excelled in athletics. 14-year-old when he said that he ran the 100 meter sprint in 11.4 seconds. Due to superior soccer skills, school PE teacher, Gwyn Morris, had to write special rules that restricted Bale to playing one-touch football and not using his left foot. While at Whitchurch, Bale trained at Southampton satellite academy in Bath, although initially some doubt if Southampton would give him a scholarship due to his height.

Although he was only 16 at the time, in the U-18, he helped the school raise achievement win the Cardiff & Vale Senior Cup. He left school in the summer of 2005 with a Grade A in PE amongst his GCSE results. In his final year at school, he was awarded the PE department prize for services to sport. In the presentation, Morris commented:

Bale living in London with partner Emma Rhys-Jones, his high school sweetheart. Their first child, a daughter, born at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff on October 21, 2012.

For the 2012-13 season, Bale changed his squad number from 3 to 11 numbers.

Bale scored his first goal of the season against Reading in a 3-1 away win. On September 29, Bale scored both goals in Tottenham's 3-2 victory over Manchester United, their first win at Old Trafford since 1989.
